Aspect librarianship
This year, we see strong growth in loans, all categories of users combined, with more than 16% increase compared to 2009. The number of withdrawal and return of documents amounting to 4824 circulations for the year 2010 against 4154 for 2009. This good result confirms a clear trend of increasing traffic records since 2006, selected base year for which statistics are available. For 208 days of the library's opening in 2010, there will have been on average 11.59 loans per day. From January 2006 to December 2010 (5 years), there were a total of 17,640 filings and withdrawals. It may also be noted that the number of loans per year to more than double in 5 years (104.93%, with 1177 loans in 2006 and 2412 in 2010).
In detail, the increase seen this year, particularly for students caregivers with 96.45% increase for all promotions aides in 2010 (2009-2010 and 2010-2011 ), and to a lesser degree nursing students (2nd and 3rd year) with 15.33% increase. Borrowings by all teachers have advanced with 41.24% increase over the previous year. Students midwives 4th year have also increasingly used the resources of library before (more than double bonds).
A small decrease was observed among students in childcare (-12.18%, borrowing from 353 to 310) but also for external users (-27.27%, from 110 loans to 80).
If we compare the last 3 years (2008, 2009 and 2010 - years that can only beings snuff into account the categories users currently used), we note the equilibrium points for all categories of students around 300 loans per year, and a clear progression for students and aides nursing students in their 3rd year.
average, and like every year, students who borrow the most are in childcare with 14.09 materials borrowed by students (and calendar year, the return taking place in January for this training). Because of their number (241), and volume (1219), are the nursing students who are far ahead of other schools for the number of loans. The result is an overall average of 6.6 loans per student in the library (449 student users in 2010 to 2195 loans. The 217 loans remaining from other categories of readers: teachers, staff of the CHR and external drives).
It remains to note that more than 200 documents from the library are in daily borrowing over 3120 on the few available documents.
Appearance collections management
The proposed targets for 2009 were achieved on time. This was primarily to the addition to the documentary collection of new documents to destination collections of the School of pediatric nurses from exceptional orders of 2007 and 2009 the Regional Council. The move to a record format with fewer descriptors (commonly called keywords, ie terms from a thesaurus, documentary language used to describe controlled the content of a document), closer to the elements of current references in the SUDOC (Système Universitaire de Documentation - bibliographic database of Bibliographic Agency for Higher Education) will have a larger volume of records creation in the catalog Library.
